The Skydôme is a round, domed opening usually placed near the pole of a bubble house, to bring natural light into the house, almost like a round velux window. It can also be used to ventilate easily if you decide to open it, which isn't always the case.
Skydomes are commonly used on yurts, but also in the self-build sector for kerterres: self-built ecological earth houses that take full advantage of this light well. Skydomes can also be found on roof terraces and in geodesic domes, where they provide effective natural ventilation to solve heat problems. In fact, in all light habitats, heat rises, so it's a good idea to install a skylight to provide both light and ventilation.
